A Long Way Home
Incredible tales of lost-and-found class rings: Our beloved class rings sometimes slip away, but some of them return — in serendipitous ways you might never imagine.
Behind the Bling
Unveiled in early October, the Class of 2018 ring — designed by students in a long-standing tradition — is packed with meaning, from the "flaming VT" to the class motto.
All Natural
Funded by the National Park Service, a team of Hokies is studying the Appalachian Trail to produce a comprehensive dataset on the famed footpath's condition and sustainability.
Tackling Nature's Problems
Virginia Tech's new Global Systems Science Destination Area grows from roots that extend back to the university's founding as a land-grant college, to branches that bear the world's most urgent challenges.
The university's flagship publication, Virginia Tech Magazine forges stronger relationships among alumni, donors, and friends of Virginia Tech. The magazine highlights the vibrancy of a university on the leading edge of technology, service, learning, research, and scholarship and showcases the achievements of alumni, faculty and staff, and students through a rich array of feature stories, alumni profiles, and university and alumni news. Virginia Tech Magazine is published quarterly by the Office of University Relations, with support from Alumni Relations. The Virginia Tech Foundation underwrites most production costs.
