The ART of SCIENCE
Protein nanosheets curling into rosettes resemble a blossoming bouquet of black and white flowers.
Microscopic muscle fibers of a bovine fetus evoke a swarm of fireflies soaring through the black of night.
In a January exhibit entitled "The Art of Science," College of Agriculture and Life Sciences researchers presented 11 microscopic masterpieces that illustrated how science is also an art where the journey of exploration can lead to works of beauty.

2014 ALUMNI DIRECTORY
An extensive effort to update records for the publication of the next Virginia Tech Alumni Directory will begin this year. Alumni mailing addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, and employment information must be updated for the publication, which, for the first time, will allow alumni to include photographs. The Alumni Association is partnering with Publishing Concepts Inc. (PCI) to publish the print directory and CD. Please respond to PCI's phone and mail surveys to ensure the accuracy of your information. At that time, the directory will be available for early reservation, with delivery expected in 2014.
