Alumni board met on April 28-29
The Alumni Association Board of Directors held its spring meeting on campus the last weekend of April, just two weeks after the April 16 tragedy. The board discussed plans for on- and off-campus programs for the coming year that would help engage alumni in supporting the university and all alumni in the healing process. Scores of events to honor the victims of April 16 already had been held around the world and others were planned. The board passed several resolutions honoring the victims and their families; the university administration, faculty/staff, and students; police and rescue personnel; and the Alumni Association staff, which had accommodated some 350 representatives of the media at the alumni center during the week of the tragedy.
