Don R. Sebolt, 3/21/98. Sebolt, a faculty member in the Department of Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise, helped establish the Exercise Physiology Laboratory. His research evaluated the effects of physical activity and the relation of diet to muscle function.
Boyd Harshbarger, 5/28/98. Harshbarger founded the Virginia Tech Stastical Laboratory in 1947 and the department of statistics in 1949. He served as head of Virginia Tech's statistics department, one of the oldest in the U.S., from 1949 - 1972 and was named professor emeritus in 1976.
